application

TIBAL is used as a co catalyst for the Ziegler Natta polymerization of olefins.

storage

TIBAL and its solution are stable under dry inert gas protection and away from heat sources. TIBAL slowly decomposes to produce Diisobutyl aluminum hydride (DIBAL-H) and isobutene at temperatures exceeding 50 ° C. Further heating decomposes diisobutyl aluminum hydride into hydrogen gas, isobutene, and elemental aluminum.

Packaging and transportation

TIBAL and its solutions can be found in mobile tank packaging worldwide. Only in North America can products packaged in car and train tankers be obtained. The packaging can is made of carbon

Made of steel and equipped with bottom insertion pipes for top unloading, all connections are located in the steam space section. Packaging and transportation comply with international regulations.

Security and Handling

TIBAL burns upon contact with air and reacts violently upon contact with water. TIBAL's hydrocarbon solution may ignite upon contact with air. TIBAL and its hydrocarbon solutions must be stored under dry inert gas protection, such as nitrogen or argon gas. Before coming into contact with alkyl metals, water in the production process must be carefully removed. Otherwise, it may cause an explosion. The products of complete combustion of TIBAL and its hydrocarbon solution are alumina, carbon dioxide, and water. TIBAL can cause severe burns to the skin and eyes. Require mandatory wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment when using TIBAL. For detailed information on safe storage, use, and operation of TIBAL, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Before accepting this product, carefully read the relevant safety information on SDS. SDS can be obtained from the following sources: nouryon.com sds search
