Not all samples can be directly injected. It is recommended to use it in conjunction with a Karl Fischer furnace when the following conditions exist in the samples.
◆ The sample cannot be completely dissolved (plastic particles, polyester chips, artificial bones, etc.)
◆ Side reactions between samples and Karl Fischer reagents (lubricant additives, samples containing aldehydes and ketones, etc.)
◆ Slow release of sample moisture
The moisture in the sample can only be released at high temperatures
◆ The sample will contaminate the titration cell (lubricating grease, etc.)
After being combined with a Karl Fischer furnace, the moisture in the sample is heated and separated, and then transferred to the titration cell through a dry carrier gas, where moisture measurement is performed.
