application
TEAL is used as a co catalyst for the Ziegler Natta polymerization of olefins. TEAL is also used in the Ziegler growth reaction to produce alpha olefins and alpha alcohols, and can also be used as an alkylating agent to produce other organometallic compounds and organic intermediates.
storage
TEAL and its solution are stable under dry inert gas protection and away from heat sources. TEAL begins to slowly decompose when the temperature exceeds 120 ° C. The thermal decomposition products include hydrogen gas, ethylene, and the element aluminum.
Packaging and transportation
TEAL and its solutions can be found in mobile tank packaging worldwide. Only in North America can products packaged in car and train tankers be obtained. The packaging can is made of carbon
Made of steel and equipped with bottom insertion pipes for top unloading, all connections are located in the steam space section. Packaging and transportation comply with international regulations.
Security and Handling
TEAL burns upon contact with air and reacts violently upon contact with water. TEAL's hydrocarbon solution may ignite upon contact with air. TEAL and its hydrocarbon solutions must be stored under dry inert gas protection, such as nitrogen or argon gas. Before coming into contact with alkyl metals, water in the production process must be carefully removed. Otherwise, it may cause an explosion. The products of complete combustion of TEAL and its solution are alumina, carbon dioxide, and water. TEAL can cause severe burns to the skin and eyes. Require mandatory wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment when using TEAL. For detailed information on safe storage, use, and operation of TEAL, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS). Before accepting this product, carefully read the relevant safety information on SDS. SDS can be obtained from the following sources: nouryon.com sds search.
